The Full English Breakfast – A Great British Tradition

english breakfast recipeBreakfast in Spain is a quick and easy affair. Croissants, coffee, maybe some orange juice. In the UK, however, breakfast is a huge deal. We eat like animals, and the Full English Breakfast is a tradition we all enjoy as often as possible.

You may be thinking “Ben, you aren’t English, you’re Welsh!” and you would be right. The full English breakfast is eaten all over Britain though, not just in England.

What is a Full English Breakfast?

The Full English Breakfast, also known as a “Fry-up” or “The Full Monty”, consists of lots and lots of fried food and must be accompanied by tea and orange juice. Check out the recipe below.

English Breakfast Recipe – Per person

1x Scrambled or fried egg
2x Pork sausages
2/3x Slices of bacon
1x Portion of baked beans (Heinz)
1x Fried tomato
1x Fried Mushrooms
2x Slices of buttered toast
1x Portion of black pudding (Blood sausage)
2x Hash browns (A fried potato fritter)
